Two Chemical, Materials & Biomolecular Engineering Students Are Winners in the AIChE 2008 Undergraduate Poster Competition. (cont.) In November 2008, four Chemical Materials & Biomolecular Engineering students traveled to Philadelphia, Pennsylvania to represent the University of Connecticut, School of Engineering at the American Institute of Chemical Engineers’ 2008 Annual Meeting. The students, Robert Yau, Matthew Cognetta, Ashley Schempf, and Michael Gentile, competed in the Student Poster Session. Robert Yau, Chemical Engineering undergraduate, won first place in the Food, Pharmaceutical & Biotechnology category for his work on, “Experimental and Numerical Modeling of Granular Mixing in a Coater Pan.” Matthew Cagnetta, Materials Science & Engineering undergraduate, took home second place in the All four students who attended, should be congratulated and recognized for their hard work and stellar representation of the Department, School and University. |
